Granite Countertop Material Handling Equipment

Equipment for Handling Granite Materials

Granite is a type of rock used notably for kitchen counters or floor tiles, but its density makes it very heavy and special types of equipment must be used to handle it with care. There are granite tools that can be used to assist the people delivering the granite materials to a location, and these granite tools come in different shapes and sizes. Two of the most popular tools are granite blades and quartzite blades. Granite blades and quartzite blades are used to divide the granite material evenly, and they are very sharp, suitable for cutting through thick and tough surfaces. Aside from the blades, other tools and equipment are being used by granite material producing companies to ensure the safety of the product’s delivery. There are nine tools and equipment that are being used today in the industry, and these are the following:

1. Stone racks made from stainless steel or aluminum – These stone racks are installed at the back of the delivery truck or van, and they are effective in transporting granite kitchen counters and granite floor tiles. It supports the heavy mass of the granite material, preventing it from tumbling over or falling to the ground during transport. It is also used to easily load and unload the heavy weight rock material, and it decreases the chances of injuries among those who are transporting it. Breakage also decreases, keeping the quality of the product from start to finish.

2. Transport racks – these transport racks made from galvanized steel are used to transport granite materials and products. It allows for easy movement, and these types of transport racks can handle tough and heavy materials like granite. Transport racks are usually seen in granite product factories, where the stone is placed and moved around the vicinity. It is also used to store the materials that have been created from granite to ensure that it will not be damaged.

3. Bundle racks – these heavy duty bundle racks are also used to transport granite products and materials. They can carry super heavy materials with ease, making the lives of those transporting it easier. Same with transport racks, they can be seen frequently inside the factories which manufacture granite products. The only difference between the two is the number of granite materials that it can hold at the same time. Bundle racks can hold a huge number of granite products and prevents them from being damaged.

4. Heavy duty transport racks – these racks can carry up to 4,000 pounds of material, and they are suitable for granite materials and products. It also comes with a wheel, making transportation and movement easier. This type of transport racks are also used inside the factories which manufactures granite products. People prefer to use heavy duty transport racks when moving products that are very heavy. It decreases the amount of power that has to be exerted because of the existence of wheels, making the task easier to complete.

5. Vacuum lifters – these vacuum lifters have huge vacuum power and they can carry extremely heavy materials like granite. Using electricity, they would suck on the material and carry it safely without any damages. The heavy duty suction cups on each vacuum lifter are actually the one doing the magic.

The tools and equipment necessary to transport granite materials and products are becoming in demand, because people wanted to receive their products without any scratches and companies handling the delivery of these materials wanted less injuries among their employees. Using these products to transport and deliver granite products and materials are proven to be effective, because the work performed by the employees is decreased thanks to a number of supportive features like wheels. Some of the tools and equipment, like the vacuum lifters, are highly dependent on the extreme suction power that the equipment has, making it easier for transporters to lift up a granite material high above the ground without using too much effort.
