Turbo Blades - Common Questions

+

What is a turbo diamond blade?

A turbo blade has a continuous rim with a serrated or wave pattern. That pattern helps it cut faster than a smooth continuous rim while leaving a cleaner edge than a segmented blade, which is why fabricators use it on granite, quartz, and other hard stone.

+

Which turbo blade should I use for quartzite?

Quartzite is harder than most granite and wears blades faster. Look for blades made for hard material, such as the Pinnacle Quartzite Turbo Blade or the Pinnacle Platinum Side Protection Blade, and check each product page for the materials it is rated for.

+

What does a side protection blade do?

Side protection blades are designed to reduce wear and chipping along the side of the blade, which helps keep cuts clean on hard and brittle material. They are a common choice when the cut edge will stay visible.

+

Can I use a turbo blade on porcelain?

Several blades in this collection list porcelain among their rated materials. For thin or very brittle porcelain, our porcelain blades collection has blades built specifically for it.
